How Waking Up at 5 AM Transformed My Mental Health and Productivity ?

I used to go to bed late and wake up at 9:00 a.m., often missing my first period of college classes. Sometimes, I was so busy that I had to take a leave, which left me feeling demotivated and stagnant in life. Realizing this, I decided to make a change: I began going to bed early and started waking up at 5:00 a.m

Inspired by the book 11 Rules for Life by Bhagat, particularly his chapter on fitness goals, I adopted a new routine.

The Impact:  Running at 5:00 a.m., just before sunrise, has been transformative. I often see middle-aged individuals and even young children jogging alongside me, which adds to the positive atmosphere. This early morning routine has made me feel energetic throughout the day, lasting all the way until night. The extra time in the morning allows me to plan my day and study for at least an hour. It also ensures I can get to college or work without any rush, which has significantly improved my focus on both work and studies.

Benefits :  Starting my day with a run or walk boosts my mood and sets a positive tone for the rest of the day. Engaging in even simple exercises like running increases oxygen flow to the cells, enhancing our body's metabolism and overall well-being.

Mental Health :  Early mornings give me a chance to enjoy nature and the sunrise, contributing to better mental health. The quiet and tranquility of the morning provide a peaceful start, allowing me to plan my day or simply appreciate the natural beauty around me.
Tips : To establish this routine, ensure you have a comfortable bed and minimize phone usage before sleep. Start with small goals, such as a 15-minute walk or a 3 km run, and gradually build up from there.

Conclusion - This new routine has given me more confidence and peace. I encourage you to give waking up at 5:00 a.m. a try and experience the benefits for yourself. Thank you for reading my blog, and please feel free to leave your comments!
